Girls Varsity Lacrosse – Head Coach

Location: New York, NY (10001)
Season Dates: March 2, 2026 – May 15, 2026
Compensation: $3,500–$4,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Girls Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach for the Spring 2026 season. This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the varsity girls lacrosse program, including practice planning, game strategy, athlete development, and program culture.

The ideal candidate will have prior head coaching experience in lacrosse, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to commit to the required morning and after-school schedule.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Head Coach for the Girls Varsity Lacrosse program
• Plan and lead high-quality, competitive practices
• Develop individual and team skills, strategy, and game preparation
• Coach and manage all competitions
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team culture
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and the athletic department
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and travel
• Represent Avenues with professionalism and integrity

Practice & Game Schedule

• Frequency: 4 days per week
• Practice Times:
• Morning sessions: 7:00–8:20 AM
• After-school sessions: 4:00–5:30 PM
• Some Wednesdays: 3:00–4:30 PM
• Availability during school afternoons is required for games and team commitments

Qualifications

• Previous lacrosse head coaching experience (required)
• Experience coaching at the high school or varsity level preferred
• Ability to commit fully to the required morning and after-school schedule
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to student-athlete development and sportsmanship
