The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is excited to announce the launch of our 2026 Summer Internship program! Join our team and become a part of something bigger – a force for change in the fight against hunger. The Community Foodbank of New Jersey is more than just a food bank – we champion healthier lifestyles and positively impact social and economic change. Together we can create a stronger, more resilient New Jersey for everyone. This 10-week internship offers a hands-on opportunity to delve into a comprehensive approach to food security, encompassing food distribution, job training, and advocacy. We're on the lookout for enthusiastic undergraduate and graduate interns to join us at our Garfield, Hillside or Egg Harbor Township locations to help support our vital programs. The internship will run from with students contributing up to 25 hours weekly. If you’re passionate about community service and social justice, we'd love to see you apply!
This role presents an excellent opportunity to acquire valuable experience while contributing to CFBNJ’s mission. In this program, you will participate in job shadowing, support administrative tasks, analyze data, and explore various fields, including Accounting/Finance, Facilities, Communications, Community Health, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Operations, Resource Development and Workforce Development. We strongly welcome bilingual or multilingual applicants fluent in Arabic, English, Spanish, Creole, or Bengali.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role:
- Currently a rising Junior or Senior, you should be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university, with a passion for or prior experience in social services or a non-profit environment.
- It is advisable to possess reliable transportation for travel requirements outside of your daily commute (mileage may be subject to reimbursement).
- Creative talents, particularly with tools like Canva, Adobe, or social media platforms, are highly encouraged.
- A solid technical skill set, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook 365 and Microsoft Teams, is crucial for achieving success in this role.
- Proven time management and organizational abilities are essential.
- You should feel comfortable engaging with diverse populations and presenting in front of groups, as needed.
Pay Transparency: The hourly pay for this position is $20.00 per hour for Undergraduate students and $27.00 per hour for Graduate students. The final rate may vary depending on whether the candidate is an undergraduate or graduate student.
