Sublime Systems · Somerville, Estados Unidos Da América · On-site
- Escritório em Somerville
Responsibilities for this role will include:
- Provide technical leadership in the development, validation, and optimization of cement formulations, with emphasis on mineral processing, milling, particle technology, and suspension rheology.
- Lead team and coordinate multiple R&D workstreams simultaneously, ensuring alignment with product development priorities and timelines. Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical oversight to other scientists and engineers.
- Partner closely with Pilot / Process R&D and other cross-functional teams to establish tight feedback loops between laboratory results, process constraints, and scale-up learnings.
- Design, execute, and interpret experimental programs involving milling and grinding, rheology, and cement property measurements; analyze data and clearly communicate results and implications.
- Develop and execute rheological testing strategies to characterize flow behavior, thixotropy, structuration, particle interactions and additive/admixture compatibility in cementitious systems.
- Evaluate and optimize grinding and classification parameters to control particle size distribution, surface area, and morphology in support of fresh and hardened cement performance.
- Contribute to cement performance and technology development through literature review, balancing chemistry/processing/manufacturability consideration, competitive analysis, and engagement with external experts, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Develop, validate, and implement new test methodologies to characterize cement performance, processing behavior, and scale-up risks.
- Maintain, calibrate, and expand laboratory capabilities, particularly in rheology and particle engineering.
- Author technical white papers, internal reports, and patent applications to document and protect Sublime’s innovations.
- Champion safety and responsible laboratory practices, particularly when developing new experimental methods and processes.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team culture, setting expectations for rigor, accountability, and continuous learning.
