Description
About Golden Lighting Golden Lighting is a premier name in the residential design industry, recognized nationally for delivering "Expert Lighting Designs for Every Space." We combine the market reach of a major brand with the agility and culture of a tight-knit, 30-person private enterprise. We are profitable, growing, and obsessed with quality—not just in our products, but in our operations.
The Executive Opportunity We are seeking a Director of E-Commerce & Strategic Accounts to join our leadership team and drive the next phase of our expansion. This is not a maintenance role; it is a strategic position for a leader who wants to influence the direction of the company.
Who You Are:
- A Strategic Architect: You don't just follow processes; you build and optimize them to scale a business.
- Decisive Leader: You thrive in an environment where autonomy is the norm, and you are comfortable making high-stakes business decisions.
- Builder: You are looking for a long-term tenure where you can see the direct ROI of your leadership on the company’s bottom line.
Requirements
We are looking for a high-impact Sales Director to take full ownership of our digital revenue channels. This role covers the entire digital spectrum: our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) website, 3rd Party Marketplaces (Amazon/Walmart), and Strategic E-Retail Partners (Wayfair, Home Depot, Lamps Plus).
This is a high-growth position. You will not just "manage accounts"; you will aggressively drive sales through strategic promotions, relationship management, and digital marketing. You will own the P&L for these channels and lead the strategy to significantly scale revenue.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Management (Wayfair, Home Depot, Lamps Plus)
- Relationship Growth: Serve as the primary point of contact for buyers and category managers at key partners (Wayfair, Lamps Plus, Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.).
- Program Participation: Negotiate and execute entry into high-volume retailer programs (e.g., Wayfair’s Way Day, Home Depot’s Special Buy events).
- Assortment Expansion: Analyze partner gaps to push new product placement and increase our "share of shelf" on their digital storefronts.
2. Direct-to-Consumer & Marketplace Strategy
- DTC Website: Own the P&L and user experience for our brand site. Lead strategies to increase traffic, Conversion Rate (CR), and Average Order Value (AOV).
- Amazon & Walmart Marketplace: Manage the day-to-day health of our Amazon (Seller/Vendor) and Walmart accounts. Secure the "Buy Box," manage FBA/FBM strategies, and optimize listings for SEO.
3. Digital Marketing & Promotions Leadership
- Unified Calendar: Create a master promotional calendar that aligns our DTC efforts with retailer-specific events.
- Retail Media: Manage budgets and strategy for retailer-specific advertising platforms (e.g., Wayfair Sponsored Products, Home Depot Retail Media, Amazon PPC).
Qualifications, Skills & Education
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to negotiate effectively with tough retail buyers and present clear strategic updates to the C-Suite.
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial literacy is non-negotiable. You must be able to read a P&L, calculate Contribution Margin, manage budgets, and understand the impact of returns/allowances on net profit.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and forecasting modeling are daily tools).
- Microsoft Word/PowerPoint: Ability to create professional presentations and proposals for major retail partners.
- E-Com Platforms: Proficiency with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and Retailer Portals (Home Depot IDM, Wayfair Partner Home).
Professional Experience
- Experience: 7+ years in E-Commerce sales, with a specific track record of managing Wayfair, Home Depot, and Amazon.
- Industry Fit: Knowledge of the lighting industry is not a requirement.
- Growth Track Record: You must be able to demonstrate how built high volume sales in your industry.
