The Senior Logistics Analyst would serve as the principal logistics lifecycle planner for the Expeditionary Medical Family of Systems within PMS 408. This role ensures that all medical systems are supportable, sustainable, and operationally effective throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition through disposal. The incumbent will lead Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) efforts, coordinate with stakeholders across the Navy and joint services, and support planning of sustainment strategies for expeditionary medical platforms.

Location: Washington Navy Yard, Washington D.C. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP).
  • Integrate logistics considerations into all phases of the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and Navy logistics policies.
  • Lead planning and execution across all 12 ILS elements.
  • Emphasize supportability for medical systems in austere and expeditionary environments.
  • Coordinate with logistics element managers (LEMs) and Integrated Planning Teams (IPTs).
  • Monitor operational availability and readiness of deployed medical systems.
  • Resolve deficiencies in spare parts, manuals, training, and support equipment.
  • Liaise with NAVSUP, DLA, FRCs, and OEMs.
  • Develop and manage logistics funding profiles, including Logistics Requirements and Funding Summary (LRFS) and POM inputs.
  • Track and report sustainment expenditures.
  • Conduct Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
  • Support depot-level maintenance planning.
  • Evaluate and implement PBL strategies for high-value medical assets.
  • Partner with OEMs and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate provisioning and technical documentation.
  • Ensure configuration control and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with BUMED, NHRC, NAVSEA, NAVSUP, and joint medical logistics stakeholders.
  • Represent PMS 408 in logistics and sustainment forums.
  • Plan for safe and compliant disposal of medical systems and hazardous materials.

Requirements

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or related field with 10 years in DoD logistics, preferably with expeditionary or medical systems or
  • Associates degree in Applied Sciences with 15+ years of relevant logistics experience.
  • DAWIA Level II or III in Life Cycle Logistics (preferred).
  • PMP or equivalent certification (preferred).
  • DoD Clearance: SECRET is required.

Experience:

  • Experience in working with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), and joint logistics operations.
  • Proven track record in sustainment planning, asset management, ILS execution, and budget management.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of DoD acquisition lifecycle and logistics policies.
  • Proficiency in Navy ERP, Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture, and medical logistics databases.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced program office supporting global expeditionary medical operations.
  • Frequent coordination with military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
  • Occasional travel to support fielding, sustainment, and stakeholder engagement.
