THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a commercial in-house lawyer fluent in Italian and English to join our European legal team!
Our company is looking for a talented and dynamic commercial lawyer who enjoys working on a wide variety of contractual duties. This role is integral to supporting our fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly expanding business in Europe that embraces new technologies and methodologies, providing a challenging and rewarding environment for legal professionals who want to support the business strategy and shape internal processes. The role involves work across multiple countries to ensure that all our contracts meet regulatory requirements, applicable laws and company policies.
YOUR IMPACT
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements and contractual due diligences (including evaluating and participating in bids), ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws across several European countries, including data protection regulations;
- Acting as the legal expert for contractual matters across multiple European jurisdictions, providing practical and timely legal advice to internal stakeholders;
- Assessing contract processes to identify improvement to templates and to our contract cycles;
- Clearly explaining contract terminology and provide contract training to internal departments;
- Identifying, mitigating, and reporting on main contractual risks, developing standard operating procedures to address such risks and training materials for business teams.
- Driving the adoption, implementation, and optimization of AI and Legal Tech solutions for automated contract review, risk assessment, and contract management. Develop best practices for utilizing these tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy..
- Serving as a trusted advisor and providing responsive legal advice to the business.

WHO YOU ARE
- Law Degree (obtained in any European country).
- Proven work experience (minimum of 8 years) as a practicing lawyer, with significant time spent in-house or handling commercial contracts in a multinational environment..
- Direct, practical experience with the implementation, training, or significant use of AI-powered contract review, CLM systems, or other legal automation tools will be a clear advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in both Italian and English is mandatory
- Fluency in Spanish, or French will be a clear plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including diplomacy and flexibility.
- In-depth knowledge of contract laws and regulations and ability to work across different countries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proven experience managing, leading, or working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders outside of the legal department.
- Ability to explain complex issues in a clear, simple and concise manner to all levels of the organization.
- Solid judgment and business acumen.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and efficient.
- Strong organizational skills to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
