Compensation: $15-$35 / Hr. (competitive pay based on experience + Per Diem + RETENTION BONUS$ + SIGN ON BONUS$)

Enterprise Electrical is hiring motivated Apprentice Electricians (APR1 & APR2) and Crew Support to join our team on a Mission Critical Data Center project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile project while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
The perfect candidates should possess 1–3 years of experience in Data Center electrical work, demonstrate a strong dedication to learning, and have an aspiration to become a licensed journeyman. Apprentices will support daily operations, aid crews with installations, and have the opportunity to work with mission critical systems such as UPS, generators, and switchgear.
Base Pay:
- Crew Support (entry-level and above): $15 – $20 per hour.
- Apprentice 1 (requires 1+ years of proven experience): $25 – $30 per hour.
- Apprentice 2 (requires 2+ years of proven experience): $30 – $35 per hour.
Bonuses and Project Perks:
$120 Per Diem (paid daily, 7 days a week)
Retention Bonus: $5.00 per hour additional pay
Sign-On Bonus (paid after onboarding)
Travel Package: Lodging covered by Enterprise Electrical
Apprentice Sign On Bonus: $500 (for project completion)
Schedule:
- Standard: 5/10s + 1/8 (5 days at 10 hours + 1 day at 8 hours per week)
- Overtime: Available
- Project Length: 1 year with additional steady work
Responsibilities:
- Support electrical teams working on Mission Critical Data Center projects under the guidance of journeymen and foremen.
- Acquire the ability to read and understand blueprints, one-line diagrams, and schematics, gradually applying this knowledge with more autonomy.
- Adhere to and uphold Enterprise Electrical safety standards, which includes engaging in daily safety meetings and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Perform practical tasks such as pulling wire, installing conduit, fitting fixtures, and organizing equipment/materials.
- Assist in coordinating and preparing material shipments, equipment arrangements, and workspaces for everyday operations.
- Contribute to commissioning and QA/QC processes for mission critical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and grounding systems.
- Record assigned duties, daily progress, and any issues under the supervision of journeymen or foremen.
- Enhance technical abilities with the goal of becoming a licensed journeyman, concentrating on mission critical project requirements and standards.
- Embody the company's principles of teamwork, mentorship, safety, and accountability while actively contributing to the success of the project.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience (data center or mission critical exposure preferred).
- Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program (IEC, IBEW, NCCER, or equivalent).
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, diagrams, and construction documents with supervision.
- Commitment to learning and applying NEC codes, OSHA standards, and Enterprise Electrical safety protocols.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to travel and work full-time on site in Cedar Rapids, IA.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work as part of a team in a mission critical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience on Mission Critical Data Center projects (hyperscale, colocation, or critical infrastructure).
- Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and grounding systems.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Familiarity with Procore, PlanGrid, or similar project management tools.
- Journeyman license coursework in progress or significant hours logged toward journeyman status.
