Hi, I'm Mark, and I lead Jane's AI Transformation team. I've been at Jane for 6 years, and our team's mission is to build the platform that turns every person at Jane into an AI-powered builder.

As a Staff AI Tooling Engineer, you won't just build internal tools - you'll help architect Jane's AI platform from the ground up. That means designing the knowledge systems that let agents discover and use context securely, building the orchestration layer that connects our core systems, and enabling teams across Jane to create their own AI-powered workflows. You'll work closely with Support, Finance, Recruiting, Operations, and Product to turn focused pilots into scalable, trustworthy solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, applied AI, and organizational transformation. You'll help define how 700+ people work with AI every day, by building both the platform and the tools to help them succeed.

Compensation & Benefits
At Jane, we’re committed to paying fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has an annual salary range of $158,400 to $247,500. While that is a large range, it is intentional. It reflects the full growth journey someone might take in the role, from developing skills early on to becoming highly proficient and ultimately achieving excellence.
Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $188,100. A starting salary below this typically indicates a candidate with strong potential who is still developing key skills. Salaries above this usually apply to existing team members who have made a significant impact and bring deep Jane-specific knowledge.
