Job Summary:
The Exam Proctor is responsible for safeguarding the integrity of the testing process by maintaining confidentiality, monitoring exam sessions, and enforcing testing rules and procedures. You will assist students during check-in, explain exam protocols, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and maintain a quiet, distraction-free testing atmosphere.
This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to remain alert and professional throughout testing periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Security: Protect the confidentiality of all testing materials and documentation.
- Monitor Exams: Supervise testing sessions, enforce exam rules, and uphold academic integrity.
- Administer Check-In: Verify identification, explain procedures, and assist students with exam setup.
- Create a Positive Testing Environment: Maintain a calm, quiet, and professional setting for test takers.
- Provide Basic Technical Support: Assist with minor technical issues and coordinate with internal IT support when necessary.
- Stay Attentive: Remain alert and proactive throughout each exam session to ensure fairness and smooth testing operations.
Our ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule, with availability for various shifts between Monday and Friday, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. This is a part-time position, with expected hours ranging from 15 to 19 per week, and the possibility for additional hours as needed.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1+ year of customer service preferred; prior exam proctoring or testing center experience is a plus
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to remain focused
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work flexible and evening hours
