Summary
The Biopharma Partnerships team at GeneDx is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Program Manager to lead biopharma partnership programs and drive cross-functional execution across commercial, clinical, and scientific teams. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day logistics, overseeing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring successful delivery of clinical research communications across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise in the healthcare/life sciences space, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Responsibilities include tracking performance metrics, refining engagement strategies, and facilitating regular partner check-ins to ensure alignment and satisfaction. This position also involves deepening relationships with senior stakeholders in pharmaceutical, biotech, and advocacy organizations, while identifying opportunities for innovation and product development. The ideal candidate has a unique blend in technical, domain, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills and experience with tools like Excel or Tableau are preferred, along with domain knowledge in genetics or genomics.
Job Responsibilities
- Own project management responsibilities and day-to-day logistics for biopharma client partnership programs, ensuring timely, high-quality execution across multiple stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal resources across commercial, clinical, scientific, and lab operations teams to align on deliverables and ensure operational excellence.
- Provide cross-functional coverage and support to ensure continuity, proactive issue resolution, and timely progress on key initiatives.
- Oversee delivery of data products, ensuring accuracy, compliance with quality standards, and alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA).
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex genomic and clinical data concepts into actionable insights that drive measurable business value.
- Navigate and demonstrate RWD platforms, dashboards, and visualization tools to refine program strategies, support analytics discussions, and improve client outcomes.
- Facilitate regular check-ins and feedback loops to maintain alignment, transparency, and satisfaction among partners.
- Monitor contract timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful program execution and achievement of business goals.
- Deepen client relationships with senior stakeholders across pharma, biotech, and advocacy organizations through consultative engagement and thought leadership.

Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, biology, genetics, health informatics, or similar required
- Advanced degree strongly preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in relevant program management roles in biotech/biopharma industry required, 5+ year preferred
- Proven ability to succeed in fast-paced work environments, demonstrating agility, resilience, and strong organizational skills in managing competing priorities
- Strong customer-focused orientation and exceptional judgement to ensure client needs are addressed, mapped into product capabilities, and driven into expansion opportunities while demonstrating value
- Possess deep understanding of data meaning, significance, and practical applications to guide partners in leveraging insights for strategic decision-making.
- Willing to design and build scalable processes and infrastructure to support the program management team
- Experience developing project management standard operating procedures and best practices to ensure consistency across the team
- Understanding pharma/biotech business models, market access, and competitive dynamics
- Eagerness to engage with internal and client teams regarding the scientific, medical, commercial and technological aspects of genetics
- Has leadership and experience identifying operational efficiencies to streamline workflows across functional units
- Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis, reporting, and identifying the “so what” behind the data
- Ability to navigate and demonstrate RWD platforms, dashboards, and visualization tools
- Experience manipulating data in Excel and/or Tableau and an aptitude for learning new software tools
- Curiosity for working on a diverse set of partner and program types
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
- Highly motivated individual with an ability to thrive in an unstructured, dynamic environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Domain knowledge in clinical genetics/genomics and/or Real World Data (RWD) is a plus

Work Environment
This is a fully remote position. The employee will work from a home office or other suitable remote location with reliable high-speed internet access. Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment using standard office equipment including computer, phone, and video conferencing tools. Your standard work schedule and hours will be established in collaboration with your leader and may be adjusted to align with evolving business needs.
Physical Demands
This is a sedentary role requiring prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer. Physical demands include:
- Sitting for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day)
- Repetitive use of hands and fingers for typing and mouse operation
- Visual acuity for reading computer screens and documents
