Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting and improving quality processes, ensuring products meet regulatory and customer standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance systems and procedures.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and root cause analyses to resolve quality-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and supply chain to address and prevent quality concerns.
- Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and non-conformances.
- Use statistical tools and data analysis to monitor, measure, and improve product and process quality.
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as inspection reports, corrective action requests, and quality records.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance product reliability and process efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
- 1+ years of experience in a quality engineering or related role, preferably in the automotive or aerospace sector.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, standards, and tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, PPAP, Six Sigma).
- Experience with manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and quality-related software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced quality planning and risk assessment in automotive or aerospace environments.
- Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or Six Sigma Green Belt are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, and other supplier quality processes.
- Knowledge of international quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Familiarity with IPC J-STD, ESD 20.20, ISO 9001/AS9100 standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Salary Range: $60,000-$90,000
