Our structures are installed throughout the United States. We believe that it's time for the construction industry to change. By completing up to 90% of our buildings at our factory, we are taking workers out of the job site and into streamlined manufacturing facilities.
Position Overview
The Senior Quality Manager will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s Total Quality Management (TQM) program with the ultimate goal of achieving ISO 9001 certification. This role is critical to ensuring that all modular construction processes—from design and procurement to fabrication, assembly, and field installation—meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and compliance. The Senior Quality Manager will partner with cross-functional teams to build a culture of quality excellence across the organization.
Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS) Development & Implementation
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a company-wide Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
- Develop and maintain all quality policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and documentation required for certification.
- Manage the internal audit program and coordinate external audits in preparation for ISO 9001 certification.
- Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure timely resolution and long-term prevention.
Total Quality Management & Continuous Improvement
- Champion TQM principles across all departments: design, engineering, procurement, production, logistics, and field operations.
- Establish quality metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor performance and drive organizational improvement.
- Implement root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Whys, FMEA, fishbone diagrams, and Six Sigma tools.
- Identify processes that require improvement and lead cross-functional initiatives to increase efficiency, reliability, and consistency.
Production Quality Oversight
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities throughout modular unit fabrication and assembly.
- Develop and manage inspection/test plans (ITPs), product acceptance criteria, and quality verification checklists.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Support quality training for production personnel and supervisors.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as the quality subject-matter expert and advisor throughout the organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality team, including QA/QC technicians and quality inspectors.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing leadership to embed quality into processes from the earliest stages.
- Communicate quality performance, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership.
Working Conditions
This role will function in both an office and manufacturing setting. A strong presence on the manufacturing floor is required.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of experience in quality management, ideally within modular construction, offsite construction, manufacturing, or industrial production environments.
- Proven experience implementing or managing ISO 9001-certified Quality Management Systems.
- Strong understanding of TQM methodologies and quality tools.
- Experience leading internal/external audits and certification processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., ASQ CQE, CMQ/OE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt).
- Experience in modular construction, prefabrication, or high-volume manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Lean principles and process optimization.
- Working knowledge of building codes, engineering drawings, and construction workflows.
