The Contracts department oversees the delivery and execution of projects from initial mobilisation through to completion and handover. Acting as the bridge between design, commercial, and on-site teams, the department ensures that all contractual obligations are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. With a focus on planning, resource coordination, and problem-solving, the Contracts team plays a key role in ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

The Despatch Operative is responsible for ensuring that all products are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining the high standards of quality and safety that Alternative Heat is known for. This role is key to the smooth operation of the supply chain and customer satisfaction.

Hours | Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm, Friday 7am-4pm
Salary | Competitive Depending on Experience
Responsible to | Despatch Supervisor / Operations Manager 

The role involves managing the end-to-end dispatch process, including receiving, processing, and organising orders for delivery. Responsibilities include picking, packing, and labeling products accurately for safe transportation, loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment, and maintaining precise records and documentation. The position also requires coordinating with transport providers for pickups and deliveries, assisting with stock control and inventory checks, ensuring the dispatch area remains clean and compliant with health and safety standards, and supporting the operations team with additional tasks as needed.
