Under the guidance of the Performance and Data Manager and experienced team, you will assist in the collation, analysis, and presentation of management information and activities. Your work helps inform decisions on funding, service planning, and resource allocation through improving the quality of data feeding into key reports and statutory returns.
What you will be doing:- Daily, you will assist in the collation and processing of data accurately to support the council’s decision-making processes and to complete returns to government departments.
- Providing advice to colleagues, you will ensure that they receive appropriate guidance about policies, procedures and processes whilst ensuring effective working relationships are maintained.
- It will be your responsibility to provide a wide and varied range of administrative tasks to assigned projects ensuring written reports are compiled, support is provided and records are accurate which will help to inform decision making.
- When required you will maintain and update information systems and databases.
- We require you to hold either 3 GCSEs (grade C or above) including English and maths or a relevant qualification equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2 (e.g. in Using Information Technology) or significant recent and relevant experience in a similar role.
- It is key that you have recent relevant experience and skills in the analysis and presentation of data from complex spreadsheets and databases.
- You must have the ability to prioritise your workload to meet changes in demands and deadlines and have a good attention to detail and accuracy in your work, including pointing out any underlying issues or risks with the data.
- Given the elements of the role, you need to be able to communicate effectively with staff with limited knowledge of the underlying data and its coding.
- You must also have effective documentation skills, including the writing and updating of procedural guidance relating to analyses and guidance for end users regarding use and interpretation.
- It would be beneficial to have some experience/knowledge of Adult Social Care and Mosaic.
- This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Yate and working from home.
