The post holder reports to the Managing Director of Airports UK, EMEA & APAC, and is responsible for overseeing, providing leadership, direction, and alignment to a team of managers across 9 airports in EMEA. The Regional Airports Manager is responsible for ensuring safety, compliance, reliability and financial performance in order to meet business objectives and strategic goals across these airports.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- To manage, co-ordinate and ensure delivery in all areas covering the area of customer services, ramp and baggage, operations, catering, security, premium services etc.
- To be responsible for meeting all operational performance goals and cost control goals.
- To analyze current processes and workflows to identify ways to create greater efficiency, productivity.
- To be responsible for ensuring American Airlines is presented in the best possible light to airport authorities, other airlines, and the public.
- To represent American Airlines at local Airport Operators Committee (AOC), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Oneworld meetings and grow our relationship with Iberia.
- To work directly with AA’s Joint Business (JB) business partners to provide the best possible service at all airports with a particular focus on Iberia.
- To have overall responsibility to maintain the companies’ regulations and procedural objectives.
- To be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and controlling the total station operating budget and presentation of the budget to senior management at the annual budget meeting.
- To approve requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within the limits of the facility budget.
- To work collaboratively with our headquarters leaders in Skyview and other Division Managers to ensure consistent, high-quality use of available IT resources.
- To make decisions within the given limit and standard operating procedure guidelines.
- To motivate employees and align them with organization direction and achievement of station targets.
- To consult with airport management to discuss and plan such metrics as design and development of local procedures.
Leading & Managing Others
- To direct a team of managers and admin support staff and act as a role model in the development of direct reports through effective use of coaching.
- To conduct higher level investigations, disciplinaries and appeal meetings as required
- To oversee all audit requirements are compliant across relevant work areas.

- To co-operate with AA as far as is necessary to enable AA to comply with all relevant statutory provisions. To immediately report serious risks or concerns over safety issues.
