As an Equipment Reliability Specialist you will ensure all laboratory equipment operates within manufacturer, method, and quality management system requirements to guarantee accurate and traceable data. Your goal will be to maintain equipment reliability through proper installation, repair, calibration, and verification, while managing costs and engaging with vendors as needed. Your success will be to uphold the lab’s Quality Management System, ensure timely maintenance of satellite lab equipment, and foster strong relationships with equipment manufacturers and service providers.

Your Responsibilities:
Maintain deep knowledge of the lab’s Quality Management System (QMS) as it pertains to equipment reliability
Install, repair, calibrate, and verify analytical instrumentation and equipment
Manage maintenance of Operations Area Satellite Lab test equipment
Ensure cost-effective equipment management within budget constraints
Liaise with vendors, manufacturers, and service providers to ensure timely and effective support through both online and in person teaming
Coordinate facility-related activities with internal and external maintenance teams
Develop and revise SOP’s and internal policies to support continuous improvement
Participate in investigations and implement corrective actions when relating to testing practices and equipment repairs/deviations
Train lab personnel on proper equipment use and maintenance along with procedures for new equipment
Perform “on-call” duties as required
Your Skills:
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team environment
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high focus on details
Able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
Your Experience:
Post-secondary diploma/degree in a related technical discipline
4+ years experience of Laboratory testing experience is an asset
Instrumentation or electronics knowledge is an asset
Experience with internal combustion engine maintenance is a definite asset
