Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan, develop, conduct and evaluate recreational programs intended to improve readiness, contribute to high morale, build cohesion for all authorized patrons. Initiates both new and recurring activities on a regular basis for implementation in a monthly program. Aggressively markets programs using both traditional and innovative marketing strategies. Identifies needs, prepares and submits operating budget for programs to the Director. Coordinates the details of recurring activities, special events, and joint community undertakings. Establishes and maintains an outreach program. Develops and provides a professional leisure information brochure on community recreation resources. Collects, maintains and analyzes data on number, type, and frequency of participation. Obtains and maintains a current Class "C" or higher Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement. May transport youth and adults in Wyoming and surrounding area in a government vehicle. Checks all equipment for maintenance and safety and makes appropriate corrects. Checks in campers and maintains FAM Camp sites and facilities. Responsible for booking reservations for bus charters and scheduling drivers, to include charges, routes, lodging, and fees. Functions as the Point of Contact and acting supervisor for all duties and employees in absence of a Manager. PHYSICAL EFFORTS: There is physical exertion involved in the work (climbing, lifting, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, bending, etc.) and requires the ability to lift. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Skill in a range of outdoor activities and services. Skill must have included planning and conducting a variety of recreational activities and services. Knowledge gained through a four (4) year degree in recreation or sports which include programming recreational projects and programs using proper application of the principles, concepts and techniques of outdoor recreational activities may substitute for this experience. Must have knowledge and experience providing computer based travel reservations and ticketing, including but not limited to money charge orders (MEOS's) and vouchers. Progressively responsible experience in domestic and international travel ticketing which provided a varied knowledge of travel industry rules, regulations, and procedures is desirable. Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) certification is highly desirable. Must complete CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, and First Aid Certification within six (6) months of employment. Must possess a valid state driver's license and provide a copy of driving record, be willing and able to transport youth and adults in Wyoming and surrounding areas in a government vehicle.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.

Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
