A Day in the Life
Take on a pivotal role as a Senior HR Generalist and HR Business Partner and make your mark across our diabetes business teams. As a key HR Business Partner, you'll play a crucial part in enhancing employee experiences while accelerating business success. The Diabetes Operating Unit focuses on improving the lives of those within the global diabetes community. As a business, we strive to empower people with diabetes to live life on their terms by delivering innovation that truly matters and providing support in the ways they need it. Our portfolio of innovative solutions is designed to provide customers greater freedom and better health, helping them achieve better glucose control, while spending less time managing their disease.This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care. Our HR team will play a pivotal role in the journey to become a standalone company.
This position is based in Madrid within the MiniMed organization and will report to a sub-regional HR Leader.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Provide HR support to the designated employee population, ensuring adherence to HR policies, employment laws, and regulatory requirements
- Build trusted partnerships with leaders, coaching them on employee lifecycle matters and supporting annual performance cycles with consistent goal setting and evaluations
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence, Talent Acquisition, and hiring managers to deliver integrated HR solutions and attract, retain, and develop top talent
- Drive organizational development initiatives, strengthen business capabilities, and lead change management efforts, including communication and transition planning
- Advise on compensation planning to maintain market competitiveness and internal equity
- Champion an exceptional end-to-end employee experience while implementing strategies that enhance engagement and foster a positive culture
- Leverage HR data analytics and metrics to assess organizational effectiveness and recommend targeted improvements
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in multinational enterprise
- Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese will be a must
- Proven positive track record of working with business leaders
- Ability to analyze complex data and drive fact-based decision making
- Strong coaching, consulting and influencing skills
A Masters, MBA or related business degree, experience in Medical device, Technology, Healthcare, or Consumer Product industry, strong understanding of talent management, development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness best practices and proficiency in HRIS software (Workday) are considered an advantage for this role.
