Blue Stone Therapy was founded in 2009 and provides contract physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology to communities in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Our focus is to deliver optimal, individualized rehabilitation by highly skilled professional therapists while developing long-term partnerships between our staff and the communities they serve.


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the credentialing and re-credentialing processes for Blue Stone Therapy providers. 

 

Essential Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete initial credentialing and ongoing re-credentialing for therapists with all insurance companies/payers.
  • Manage all CMS/Medicare and State Medicaid enrollment, revalidation, and updates for providers.
  • Create, maintain, and update provider licensing, credentialing, and insurance records.
  • Monitor license, certification, and credential expiration dates; proactively notify staff of upcoming renewal deadlines.
  • Ensure company compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards related to credentialing.
  • Release information to requesting agencies as allowed by law and company policy.
  • Assist in developing, improving, and maintaining internal credentialing processes and workflows.
  • Maintain strict control of confidential provider files and medical staff documents.
  • Prepare and distribute credentialing-related reports (monthly, quarterly, and as needed).
  • Perform administrative and record-keeping tasks related to credentialing activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a medical or managed care credentialing role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Medicare, OIG, HIPAA, State & Federal statutes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional collaboration and customer relationship skills.
  • Adapt easily to change in job duties and work environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Net Health/Optima experience preferred.
