The Job
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites, tools, and infrastructure to ensure comprehensive coverage of functional, performance, stress, and error handling scenarios
- Create and execute automated test cases to verify conformance to product requirements, design specifications, and customer-specific use cases
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to validate feature requirements, fault tolerance, and interoperability with 3rd party vendors
- Automate test plans and strategies to ensure efficient and effective testing
- Collaborate in test case development to ensure seamless integration with automated testing frameworks
- Develop, maintain and execute test plans, test strategies for features under test to ensure functional, performance, stress, and error handling coverage
- Submit quality defect reports with reproducible steps while communicating customer impact and issue isolation information
The Skills You Bring
- Excellent programming skills in Python or similar languages
- Scripting Skills (Shell, Bash, etc)
- Experience using git/github for version control
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Self-starter attitude and ability to make decisions independently
- A helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems
- Strong desire to learn and grow
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Experience with Unix, Linux would be an asset
- Knowledge and experience on or more of the following would be an asset:
- Relational Databases, Postgres, SQL
- Linux system configuration, Network Functions Virtualization, and Software Defined Networking
- DPDK & drivers
- Open protocol standards such as Diameter and/or REST interfaces
- Understanding of Quality Assurance processes and software development life cycle is an asset
- Familiarity with networking systems, hardware and software configurations, network switches, cable modem termination systems, configuration of software
- Debugging and troubleshooting problems in test and in production
- Experience with Wireshark and similar industry standards aids would be desirable.
