We're looking for people who care about people.  As a Director of Advancement, Marketing and Communication at Elim, you’ll be required to:

Leadership & Team Oversight

  1. Provides daily leadership and supervision for the Advancement, Marketing, and Communications team.
  2. Establishes goals, workflows, and accountability structures that foster collaboration and high performance.
  3. Conducts annual performance reviews, coaches team members, and develops individualized professional development plans.
  4. Promotes a Christ-centered culture that reflects Elim’s mission, vision, and values.

Strategic Planning & Collaboration

  1. Collaborates with the VP of Strategic Partnerships to design and execute Elim’s annual fundraising, marketing, and communications plan — including donor acquisition, retention, major and planned giving, and integrated campaigns.
  2. Translates strategic priorities into actionable plans for the team, ensuring timely progress tracking, data accuracy, and effective reporting
  3. Partners with other department heads to ensure Advancement strategies align with organizational objectives in recruitment, enrollment, and mission communication.

Operational & Data Excellence

  1. Oversees Elim’s donor database and related systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational and audit requirements.
  2. Creates and maintains dashboards and analytical reports to measure donor engagement, retention, and campaign performance.
  3. Leads the integration of technology and processes that streamline fundraising and communication workflows.

Communications & Brand Stewardship

  1. Provides strategic oversight of all internal and external communications — including digital, print, and multimedia — to ensure a consistent and mission-driven brand voice.
  2. Guides storytelling, content creation, and design in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications Manager to inspire donors, families, staff, and community partners.
  3. Oversees website management, social media presence, email campaigns, and printed materials to enhance Elim’s visibility and donor engagement.

Financial & Donor Stewardship

  1. Collaborates with the VP to prepare and manage departmental budgets, approve expenditures, and monitor fiscal performance.
  2. Ensures timely and accurate donor acknowledgments, gift processing, and reporting, upholding the highest standards of integrity and gratitude.
  3. Supports capital campaign data management, ensuring systems (e.g., LGL) remain accurate and balanced.

Advancement Collaboration & Planning

  1. Prepares donor and revenue reports for internal strategy meetings with the President, VP, AVP, and Major Gifts Officer; facilitates meeting preparation and follow-up actions.
  2. Develops strategies and systems to support estate giving and planned giving initiatives in partnership with Advancement leadership
  3. Participates in high-level planning and coordination for special campaigns, appeals, and donor recognition events.

Other Duties

  1. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

Hours:     

  • Monday - Friday  8:00am - 4:30pm
  • 52 weeks/year

Wages:

  • Competitive salary range of $100,000 - $115,000 annual

Experience, Education, Skills and Training:                             

  • Bachelor’s degree required. master's degree preferred 
  • Minimum seven years of experience in nonprofit advancement, development operations, or communications; at least three in a leadership/supervisory capacity.
  • Experience with donor database systems (Little Green Light preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Committed to Christ-centered leadership and to the mission of serving individuals with disabilities.
