Description
Position Summary:
Cutter Aviation has an immediate need for an energetic and knowledgeable aviation professional to serve as Chief Pilot based at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (KPHX).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises flight crew personnel.
- Reports to the Director of Operations.
- Maintains proficiency as Pilot-in-Command.
- Acts as Senior Check Airman when that position is vacant.
- Supervises the Assistant Chief Pilots assigned to each operating base.
- Ensures that all aircraft are properly equipped for applicable operations.
- Submits all reports regarding flight personnel to the Director of Operations.
- Performs the duties of the Director of Training when that position is vacant.
- Schedules flight crewmembers, including assigning Pilot-in-Command duties.
- Manages the RVSM operations and coordinates with the Director of Maintenance for error reporting to the FAA.
- As authorized by the Director of Operations, may exercise authority over initiation, conduct, and termination of flights.
- Disseminates information to all crewmembers pertaining to routes, airports, NOTAMS, NAVAIDS, company policies, and regulations.
- Assists the Director of Operations in formulating operations policies, coordinates those policies, and coordinates operations and training.
- Ensures that all flight crew personnel are certified and supervised according to the requirements specified in the Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Prepares and maintains proficiency records, pilot files, flight schedules, duty time records, reports, and correspondence pertaining to flight operations activities.
- Additional administrative duties as assigned by Director of Operations.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous turbojet type rating.
- Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Current 1st Class Medical or ability to qualify for one.
- No accidents, incidents or sanctions in the past 5 years.
- Ability to train an SIC pilot to properly perform their functions.
- Knowledge of general aviation aircraft and their service requirements and the needs of crews and passengers.

Desired Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to candidates with:
- 3000 Total Time hours
- 1500 PIC Hours
- 250 PIC Hours in turbine powered aircraft
- Previous experience in on demand charter operations.
- 3 years or more of Part 121 or Part 135 air carrier experience.
- ATP rating
- Previous FSI or Simuflite Training
Other Requirements:
- Clean driving record.
- Must have a current Passport.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a drug screening test.
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
