We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Executive with hands-on experience in Solar Sales and Solar EPC solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the solar power industry, a proven track record in business development, and the ability to build and manage a high-quality customer pipeline. This role requires excellent communication, technical understanding of solar systems, and the ability to collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver comprehensive renewable energy solutions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities specifically in rooftop solar, ground-mounted solar, and EPC segments.
- Generate leads through market research, networking, field visits, digital channels, and participation in industry events.
- Develop strong relationships with residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.
2. Sales Planning & Execution
- Understand client requirements and propose suitable solar solutions aligned with EPC capabilities.
- Conduct site assessments in coordination with the technical team to determine feasibility and system sizing.
- Prepare and present competitive proposals, financial models, and techno-commercial offers.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline, track conversions, and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
3. Client Engagement & Negotiation
- Engage with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers across customer organizations.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Provide timely, accurate communication and follow-up during all stages of the sales cycle, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
4. Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Work closely with engineering, design, procurement, and project execution teams to ensure that proposed solutions are technically sound and cost-effective.
- Coordinate with finance and operations teams to ensure alignment on project timelines, commercial terms, and delivery commitments.
5. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Stay updated on solar industry trends, government policies, subsidies, and competitor activities.
- Analyze customer insights, regional demand patterns, and market opportunities to support strategic sales planning.
- Prepare regular MIS reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates for senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2–5 years in Solar Sales, Solar EPC, or Renewable Energy business development.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, net metering policies, CAPEX/OPEX financing models, LCOE, and payback analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a simple and compelling way.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals and achieve consistent sales performance.
- Strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and customer relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with CRM tools is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently for site visits and client meetings.
