Purpose of the Role

Drive top-line and bottom-line growth for Umicore India through strategic sales and business development of:

  • Precious Metal Catalysts – across industry sectors
  • Support other direct and indirect Umicore portfolio NBD – as and when required
  • Support Umicore India and Umicore Precious Metal Catalysts team to have best customer insights and relations, growth oriented project pipeline and drive up profitability

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand business for Homogeneous & Inorganic Catalysts across multiple industry segments
  • Support sourcing of industrial by-products for global contracts for PMC
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and reporting
  • Execute closed-loop models for catalyst recycling
  • Conduct market research and implement strategic plans
  • Manage warehouse sales, inventory, and capital flow
  • Support Umicore India with the new launches of direct and indirect businesses
  • Strategic Focus (1–3 Years)
  • Increase sales of PMC across target segments
  • Develop healthy project pipeline through NBD for PMC
  • Customer relationship management across local and global clients of PMC
  • Launch and support new Umicore businesses in India
  • Drive revenue and profitability growth in alignment with Country Management

  • Internal: Country GM, BU Managers, Finance, Customer Service
  • External: Senior/Middle Management in Procurement, Operations, Technology, Industry Associations

  • Education: Chemical Engineer
  • Experience: 10–12 years in B2B sales & business development
  • Skills: Techno-commercial acumen, team leadership, inventory management
  • Attributes: High integrity, proactive, disciplined, collaborative, adaptable
