About the role

The International and Social Impact Project Officer role coordinates charity experiences, volunteering, international stakeholder engagement, and Australian Tennis Foundation (ATF) fundraising initiatives during the Australian Open (AO) and Summer of Tennis (SOT).  Additionally, the role provides year-round coordination of volunteering for the ATF charitable donation program, and the Australian Open Pacific Pathway program delivered across the Pacific.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Program coordination including assessing charitable gift requests against program criteria, coordinating charitable giving, program administration, data collection and reporting.
  • Coordinating fundraising initiatives and campaigns, including donor engagement activities, fundraising calendar management, and campaign logistics.
  • Assisting with fundraising event planning and execution, including venue coordination, donor communications, event ticketing, hospitality, accreditation, parking, logistics, merchandise and post-event follow-up activities.
  • Stakeholder holder engagement and communications
  • Preparing Board papers and materials, including the Australian tennis Foundation and Oceania Tennis Federation.
  • Recruitment and engagement of the volunteer community including communications, training, coordination and development of a comprehensive database.

About you

You will be an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented professional who can confidently manage multiple priorities while working both collaboratively and independently. You will bring excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders. With a flexible mindset and a high level of initiative, you will contribute effectively to a dynamic environment and support the smooth delivery of events, operations, and administrative processes.

Key experience required:

  • Knowledge of CRM systems and database management (e.g., Cvent)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort in learning new technologies
  • Event planning and delivery experience
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management and financial processes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of financial processes and budgeting
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
