About the role

At Babcock, we’re trusted to deliver critical support to defence and national security customers. As the Supportability Team Lead – C-CBRNE, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) technical documentation for our award winning Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (C-CBRNE) program. Working at the intersection of engineering, logistics, and project delivery, you will guide a team of technical professionals to ensure high-quality outputs are delivered on time and in line with customer expectations.

You will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of technical artefacts across the engineering lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Defence standards and Babcock’s rigorous quality frameworks. This includes leading technical investigations, assessing risk and contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering Leads, Project Managers, and customer stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of supportability requirements into program delivery. This role also carries responsibility for mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and contributing to succession planning within the business.

About you

You are a seasoned technical professional with approximately six years of experience in engineering or logistics support roles, ideally within the Defence sector. You bring a strong understanding of engineering toolsets such as PLM or MRP systems, and are familiar with Defence-specific platforms including CMT-L, SAP, Objective, and MILIS. Your technical judgement is matched by your ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

You ideally hold a relevant technical qualification (diploma, associate degree or bachelor’s degree) with a commitment to continuous professional development. Your leadership style is collaborative and supportive, and you’re passionate about developing others while delivering high-quality technical outcomes.

To be successful in this position, you will bring;

  • A high level of technical capability
  • The ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
