This position focuses on big data analytics, health equity, and the social determinants of health (SDOH) as they relate to financial barriers and access to organ transplantation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with transplant program leadership and play a key role in advancing the lab’s research agenda through rigorous data analysis, manuscript development, and dissemination of findings at national meetings. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment at the intersection of data science, clinical research, and transplant policy. The Research Scientist will contribute substantially to shaping data-driven strategies that inform equitable access to transplantation care.%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E

Coordinates and performs statistical analysis on healthcare data for assessment. Interprets data and develops reports; evaluates and suggests improvements, tracks data sets, and maintains databases.

The essential functions for this role are as follows: •	Lead and perform advanced statistical analyses of large clinical and administrative datasets related to transplantation, •	Develop and refine research questions in collaboration with transplant faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students. •	Prepare abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations for submission to national and international conferences and peer-reviewed journals. •	Contribute to grant applications and assist in data visualization and methodological design. •	Mentor medical students and residents in research design, analytic techniques, and scholarly writing. •	Participate in regular meetings with transplant leadership to present findings, progress, and research opportunities. •	Maintain strong data management practices and ensure compliance with institutional and federal research standards. Preferred experience the ideal candidate possesses is as follows: •	Demonstrated experience in large-scale healthcare data analysis, preferably using R, SAS, or Python. •	Strong background in regression modeling, predictive analytics, and data visualization. •	Track record of scholarly writing and authorship in peer-reviewed publications preferred. •	Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary clinical research setting. •	Excellent organizational, communication, and mentoring skills. •	Familiarity with transplant or health services research. •	Prior involvement in projects examining SDOH or healthcare access disparities. •	Experience presenting at professional or academic meetings.
