Job Description:

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC designs and manufactures commercial food equipment for food service and retail customers through its subsidiaries. The company’s products include ware washing equipment; cooking equipment, including ovens, ranges, and broilers; refrigeration equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, and prep tables; food processing equipment, including slicers, mixers, and scales; and kitchen exhaust, ventilation, and pollution control systems. SUMMARY

The EH&S Coordinator is responsible for supporting safety and environmental policies and programs to ensure the business complies with all applicable standards and regulations. This role monitors security, hygiene, and environmental control practices to mitigate risks and prevent accidents across service operations. The EH&S Coordinator will coordinate appropriate actions with a third-party administrator for all Worker’s Compensation claims, assist in preparing training materials and communications, and support incident investigations by researching reports and recommending corrective actions under the guidance of the Sr. Environmental Health and Safety Manager.

  • ACTION ORIENTED: Identify opportunities to improve EH&S outcomes through effective time management, regulatory knowledge, and strategic application of safety practices. Analyze data to recommend improvements in processes, policies, and practices.
  • COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY: Adapt communication style and tools to ensure clarity and impact. Engage in difficult conversations and maintain confidentiality across a range of situations.
  • PLAN AND ALIGN: Prioritize effectively to support strategic EH&S objectives while ensuring daily operational responsibilities are executed accurately and on time.
  • MANAGE COMPLEXITY: Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve EH&S goals. Make data-driven recommendations and maintain awareness of industry trends affecting EH&S practices.
  • DECISION QUALITY:   Gather and apply relevant data to support EH&S strategies. Drive simplification and partner cross-functionally to resolve complex issues that impact current and future business needs.
  • ORGANIZATIONAL KNOWLEDGE: Perform the EH&S function in keeping with ITW values, develop and maintain a working knowledge and use of the ITW toolbox.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in an applicable field and
  • Minimum of 1 year of EH&S experience

Compensation Information:

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
