At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work.  The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday.  However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

 

Role: 
Honda Motor Europe is offering the opportunity to join as the European Connectivity Undergraduate, responsible for supporting the Automobile Commercial Strategy department.

This role is part of the Automobile Commercial Strategy Department which is leading the Automobile strategy and business transformation. This involves a number of different activities such as moving to a direct-to-consumer business model and replacing legacy IT systems. Another aspect of this function is to manage the product roadmap and commercial operation of connected services, which this role will contribute towards. 

Your role will support the European Connectivity team in delivering strategic insights, customer research, and operational support across digital and connected services. You will contribute to competitor analysis, customer engagement initiatives, data reporting, and product testing to help shape future offerings.

Main Responsibilities: 
Data Reporting & Analysis

  • Generate regular reports to evaluate customer uptake of Connected Services using Power BI and excel. 
  • Reports include customer penetration of connected services, number of paid subscribers, number of active users, dealer activations. 

Collaboration

  • Work closely with colleagues across European branch markets to ensure alignment and effective communication of the current situation, planned changes, and future actions related to Connected Services.
  • Responsibilities include preparation and presentation of monthly branch meetings to all European branch representatives. 

Competitor Landscape Research

  • Collate and analyse comparison research on competitor offerings via public channels, with a focus on Digital and Connected Services across European markets.
  • Create quarterly updates in slide format using industry and own research.

Customer Research & Feedback

  • Support the creation and deployment of customer surveys focused on Connected Services.
  • Refine questions, manage translation process and assist with analysis of survey data.

Product Improvement

  • Support with writing requirements, language translation for all branch markets, and testing of new connected features.
  • Help ensure that insights from testing are fed back into product development cycles to improve user experience and functionality.

General Support

  • Assist the Connectivity team with any other daily activities as required.

Qualifications, skills and experience:
Required

  • Must be an undergraduate, studying a Marketing/Business/Administration or similar course, looking for a placement as part of their studies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong numeracy and comfortable working with data and systems.
  • Attention to detail and have an analytical mindset.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
  • Ability to deal with confidential information.
  • Deadline oriented and ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be digitally savvy with regards to the use of internet and social media.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office experience, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Desirable    

  • Previous digital experience favourable but not necessary.
  • Interest in cars and automobile industry an advantage but not prerequisite.
