We are seeking a Lead Data Science Consultant to join our People Analytics Data Science team within Wells Fargo’s Human Resources Transformation & Product organization.
This is an exciting opportunity to leverage advanced AI-powered capabilities to guide HR business decisions and talent strategies, maximizing our investment in our most valuable asset — our people. This role will lead innovation and transformation across the HR ecosystem by harnessing modern AI technologies, including predictive, generative, and agentic AI frameworks.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions for HR initiatives such as workforce planning, employee listening, and service channel optimization.
- Develop and operationalize advanced models leveraging Generative AI, LLMs, and cloud-based frameworks including Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, and GCP Vertex AI.
- Deliver robust solutions across quantitative and qualitative dimensions, applying predictive modeling, NLP, and text analytics to unlock actionable insights.
- Architect and optimize enterprise-scale data infrastructure and ML pipelines using Lakehouse platforms, distributed computing, and modern analytics tools.
- Implement cutting-edge AI capabilities, including Agentic AI frameworks and autonomous systems, to drive innovation and scalability.
- Partner with enterprise technology and HR data engineering teams to design scalable infrastructure and modernized pipelines that ensure reliability, security, and performance for AI-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align data science strategies with organizational objectives, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver actionable insights through advanced research and modeling, ensuring adherence to ethical AI principles, data governance, and risk management protocols.
- Lead complex, high-impact initiatives using advanced analytical techniques to generate insights, visualizations, and recommendations that influence enterprise-wide decisions.
- Communicate findings effectively to non-technical audiences and provide thought leadership on best practices and emerging AI methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic AI frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and experience with Spark.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, Dash, NotebookLM, and Copilot.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and HR analytics ecosystems.
- Advanced knowledge of machine learning libraries (Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps tools (MLFlow, AutoML).
- Experience with distributed computing and data infrastructure (Apache Spark, Lakehouse platforms, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Familiarity with ethical AI principles and responsible AI frameworks.
- Certifications in AI, ML, or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills with proven ability to influence.
- Experience leading large-scale data science initiatives with enterprise-level impact.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
