The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway

 

The role you’ll contribute:  

 

The Specialty Coordinator/Vendor Management is a member of the surgical healthcare team who provides technical support to the surgeons, and direct supervision over the throughput process in SPD, OR, and Surgery Materials Management for vendor tray and product mgmt... The coordinator is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of trends in the operating room, including new products, procedures, and physician techniques. Responsible for adhering to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. 

 

The value you’ll bring to the team: 

 

  • Will review schedule regularly to ensure of case needs (rep,supplies) 

  • Acquire flow sheets daily from scheduler office to check for add -ons to ensure rep notification 

  • Weekly review of upcoming schedule to verify if vendors have been notified and check for supplies and availability of equipment. Will review with Manager and Scheduling associate. 

  • Will verify that sets have arrived with rep 24 hours in advance. 

  • Will take pictures of trays coming in and leaving if not consigned. 

 

 


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:  

 

Minimum qualifications:

 

  • 5 years’ experience in healthcare, OR SPD and/or Materials Management. 

  • Must have working knowledge of product, instrumentation and equipment utilized in Surgical Services. 

  • Must have thorough knowledge of physician preference, all instrumentation and equipment utilized in the Operating Room. 

 

Preferred qualifications:  

 

  • High School education.
