SUMMARY
The primary role of the Technical Resource is to provide technical and manufacturing expertise to the Douglas, GA facility. This includes responsibility for asset management, up time, troubleshooting, pm, breakdown maintenance, training, goal setting (all areas), tracking, documentation of all equipment. In addition to the technical requirements, this position requires excellent interpersonal skills. The Technical Resource must manage through the ability to influence team members across a 24 hour, 7 day per week operation. Additionally, this resource will work with all levels of the PWI organization and outside vendors. This role will require work on all shifts and will be expected to support our operations as needed.

GMP & PPE REQUIRED
While on the production floor in the plant you will be required to follow and help to enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Everyone on the floor or moving through the work area must follow the GMP rules in their employee handbook, which includes the required hairnets, beard nets, and earplugs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure machines are performing at optimal productivity.
- Primary point of contact for daily support
- Ensure machines are operating within designed safety parameters at all times.
- Manage daily maintenance activities as necessary
- Manage by influence daily
- Provide after-hours support as needed
- Works closely with the Management team to not only provide short term repairs, but also plan long term solutions.
- Be willing and able to actively be involved in the actual work of maintaining, repairing, changing over, adjusting, and operating equipment.
- Assist with development of budget and tracking mechanisms to ensure adherence
- Supports team members engaged in operations, maintenance, troubleshooting or operating all blow molding, injection, support equipment and packaging equipment. (training)
- Actively involved in the continuous improvement of the plant functions (Including goal setting, tracking mechanisms, rebuilds, sharing with other locations etc)
- Ensure excellent mechanical maintenance through discussion as well as inspection.
- Assist/perform CAPEX development and Project Management
- Assist planning and execution of safety campaigns
- Actively participate in accident investigations
- Recognized as a catalyst for changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency to work crews.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assist workers in solving problems.
- On call Emergency support
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
- Verify maintenance systems are working properly and data integrity and information accuracy is maintained.
- Ensuring equipment is operating optimally and identifying problems or opportunities in a timely manner (Personal involvement as well as working with team members and other resources)
- Works with teammates to analyze production failures and prevent recurrence
- Develop downtime tracking and action plans (in conjunction with team)
- Ensuring training needs analysis is conducted and training plans are developed. Active trainer for production teams.
- Ensure accurate reporting of yields, production and productivity
- Participate actively in monthly maintenance meetings
- Backup for Technical Manager
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Functional Knowledge Excel, Word, Power Point
- Presentation Skills
- Strong Interpersonal and follow up skills
- In depth knowledge of the blow/injection molding processes, procedures, and machinery.
- In depth knowledge of filling and packaging processes, procedures, and machines.
- In depth knowledge of facility maintenance
- Capable of providing support for electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs
- Knowledge of machine set up and function
- Capable of processing PET in injection or blow stages of production
- Knowledge of support equipment (compressor, chillers, etc)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES
Primary Supervision duties will apply to maintenance technicians and blow mold team members shift. Must be able to influence and direct personnel while not on site in order to be successful. Will work with other members of management to direct activities of all personnel to support the function of a 24/7 operation.
Periodically, Technical Resource will serve as a back up for other managerial positions. Technical Resource is expected to participate in all area employee appraisals, hiring, and performance management processes. The technical resource will provide direction to all maintenance staff as needed.
