Accessioning Lead
Precision Diagnostics, based in San Diego, California is a fast-growing clinical laboratory that specializes in providing drug testing, primarily for the purpose of helping physicians monitor their patients undergoing treatment for pain or substance abuse. Precision’s objective is to improve patient adherence/compliance with their prescription regimen and protect medical practices from liability.
The Accessioning Lead works closely with the manager to ensure company and team goals are met while ensuring high-quality work is completed timely. In this role, you will handle and/or act as a resource for difficult or complex issues related to accessioning.

Handle all problematic specimens

Correspondence with Clinical Support and Sales team members regarding problematic specimens or general client issues

Correspondence with Shipping and Receiving in order to ship out specimens when necessary

Processing resolutions in accordance with compliance guidelines
-
Handle EOD tasks
-
Compiling and sending end of day logs
-
End of day checks
-
Follow standard operation procedures

Supervise logistical considerations for training new employees

Maintaining/Monitoring Assessments in MediaLab

Organizing/Ensuring all side tasks are completed daily

Handle Proficiency testing and send outs

Assisting the Accessioning Manager in implementing/recommending process improvements and other duties as delegated

High School diploma or equivalent from US institution or if from foreign institution must be evaluated by a NACES organization member

Become fluent in Microsoft 365 (formerly Office365) applications assigned to your role. Common applications include: Teams, Word, Excel, Tasks and Planner

Complete training in a timely manner that is assigned to you. Training is primarily conducted via Microsoft Learn modules and is assigned based on:

Position/Job Role – Most positions require a core set of Microsoft 365 working knowledge
- Project Role – As a member of a project team, you may be required to complete training before you can engage with the project team or commence project work
- Ad-Hoc – Based on review of your performance via support requests, training modules will be assigned to increase skills

The hourly rate is $23.00

This role operates in a laboratory environment

This role routinely uses laboratory equipment and requires the use of PPE.

Must be able to meet physical demands of the position, including:
- Stand for long periods of time. Estimated 90% of time is spent standing and 10% spent sitting.
- Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities.

Have frequent need to perform the following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat and reach above shoulders.
