Job Summary

The Mitigation Project Manager (PM) oversees all Water, Mold, and Fire Mitigation and Emergency Services projects from initial response through completion. This role combines leadership, project management, and field expertise to ensure timely, high-quality service for customers in need of restoration.

The PM is responsible for estimating, technician supervision, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining company profitability. This position includes on-call responsibilities and requires both office and field work. In addition, the PM may support local sales and marketing efforts to strengthen Jenkins Restorations’ presence in the community.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond promptly to all Mitigation and Emergency Service calls.

  • Hire, train, and supervise Mitigation & Emergency Service Technicians.

  • Coordinate responses to new jobs and ensure timely mobilization of crews.

  • Conduct initial inspections and scope new projects for estimating purposes.

  • Prepare accurate estimates using Xactimate, Symbility, or other estimating platforms.

  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to company standards.

  • Track and monitor job milestones and control points via internal systems and external platforms.

  • Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters, property owners, and other key stakeholders.

  • Negotiate estimates and project details with adjusters, TPAs, and reviewers as applicable.

  • Oversee project budgets, invoicing, and collections to maintain profitability.

  • Manage sub-contractors, approve invoices, and develop new vendor relationships when needed.

  • Conduct sales and marketing outreach to generate new business and maintain strong community relationships.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise and provide ongoing coaching to Mitigation & Emergency Service Technicians.

  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, and training mitigation personnel.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations.


Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in mitigation, restoration, or construction project management preferred.

  • Proficiency with Xactimate, Symbility, and other restoration software platforms.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, on-call environment.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, etc.) highly desirable.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent, relevant experience in mitigation, restoration, or construction project management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prior supervisory experience and knowledge of insurance restoration processes are highly preferred.


Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Capable of writing clear, professional reports and correspondence.

  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management in a professional manner.


Computer Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

  • Familiarity with restoration estimating software such as Xactimate or Symbility preferred.

  • Comfortable navigating project management and documentation platforms.


Reasoning Ability

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions with limited standardization and under time-sensitive conditions.
