Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern – Manufacturing
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern, where you will gain valuable hands-on experience in promoting a safe and sustainable workplace. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in environmental and safety management within a manufacturing environment. You will work closely with our EHS professionals to support initiatives that ensure compliance, improve safety protocols, and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits across manufacturing facilities.
- Support the development and implementation of safety procedures and policies.
- Help monitor environmental compliance such as OSHA and DEP, and with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to safety training sessions and awareness campaigns and attend Safety Committee meetings.
- Collect and analyze data related to safety and environmental performance.
- Support the preparation of reports and documentation for regulatory agencies.
- Assist in recommendations for procedures for detection, prevention, and elimination of physical, chemical, or other product hazards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in environmental health and safety practices within manufacturing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data and prepare clear reports
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations is a plus

Required Abilities/Skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Knowledge of the OSHA, Safety procedures
· Ability to prioritize and handle many diverse projects and issues simultaneously..
· Must be organized and deadline oriented and have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to use a computer proficiently.
Education/Experience
· Experience in safety training & employee communications
· Pursuing degree in safety, or related field, or equivalent experience
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds or less
· Sight and hearing required
