Field Marketing Manager

The Field Marketing Manager plays a key role in championing Black Family Hospitality’s brands. This leader drives all local marketing initiatives by leveraging deep knowledge of the community, understanding evolving market dynamics, and identifying the key drivers that bring guests into each BFH location. They are responsible for building thoughtful, locally relevant marketing plans and executing them with excellence at both the market and restaurant levels. This role requires agility and creativity, consistently finding meaningful ways to keep BFH concepts visible, relevant, and connected to the communities we serve.

In addition, the Field Marketing Manager leads all planning, negotiation, and coordination of local partnerships that align with our values and business goals. They serve as a day-to-day marketing partner to each concept, ensuring branding and operational alignment, and collaborating closely with their department lead.

The role operates in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment, including extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, and interacting with guests. Work occurs both indoors and outdoors during community activations and involves being near food products and performing physical tasks required to support events and restaurant needs.

Your Impact & Responsibilities

Community & Market Leadership

  • Serve as the market expert, understanding demographics, guest behavior, competitive landscape, and local trends and apply this insight to strengthen BFH marketing plans.

  • Act as a BFH brand ambassador, building authentic relationships with community partners and representing our hospitality values at all times.

  • Spend the majority of time in-market and inside restaurants, connecting with guests, supporting teams, and identifying real-time opportunities to elevate the brand and drive sales/traffic to each concept.

Local Marketing Execution

  • Lead on-site and off-site activities that deepen BFH’s community presence and support both brand visibility and guest engagement.

  • Oversee active community involvement, including local outreach and the management of donation or partnership requests.

  • Develop annual market-level and restaurant-level marketing plans, reviewing and refining quarterly.

  • Manage all aspects of New Restaurant Opening (NRO) marketing from planning and pre-opening canvassing to on-site activation and post-opening support.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Sponsorship & Partnership Management

  • Lead the full sponsorship process, including identifying opportunities, negotiating agreements, building partnerships, and ensuring maximum return and community impact.

  • Ensure all sponsorships align with BFH’s standards, brand values, and approved processes.

Restaurant Support

  • Partner directly with restaurant leaders to support local marketing needs, answer marketing-related questions, and ensure consistent application of BFH brand standards.

  • Support company-driven marketing initiatives and systemwide activations as needed.

  • Flexibility to work late nights or weekends when needed; more than 50% travel required.

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Prepare regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports highlighting marketing performance, community engagement, and the overall business impact of marketing efforts.

  • Provide clear, constructive feedback on marketing programs, tools, and campaigns to help continuously improve BFH’s marketing strategy.
