- Assist the Director in planning and implementing policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day operations of the Office of Student Financial Services.
- In conjunction with the Office of Institutional Advancement and the Business Office, manage the awarding, reconciliation and reporting of the donor-funded scholarship program.
- Oversee and process data management workflow between the university student information system (SIS) Jenzabar and the financial aid database, PowerFAIDS
- Coordinates the processing and disbursement of all Federal Title IV, state, private and institutional financial aid
- Oversee state funded grant and scholarship programs
- Oversee Campus Based Federal Aid programs including SEOG and Federal Work Study
- Conduct full-service financial aid counseling in order to assist students with a long-term financing plan to pay for the cost of their degree. Collect and review required documentation, create financial aid packages, and perform federal verification for assigned population.
- Counsel and advise students and parents regarding financial challenges, and recommend financial aid options based on academic progress, eligibility and procedures, including information on Federal Direct Loans and private student loans.
- Assists the Director in facilitating the coordination and communication between respective university departments as they relate to Student Financial Service's role in creating a positive educational experience for students. Integrates efforts to maximize SFS’s role in recruitment and retention.
- Assist the Director with R2T4s and fund reconciliations.
- Assist the Director with monthly and annual reporting requirements
- Plan and conduct presentations, seminars, and/or workshops for students. Represent the Office of Student Financial Services at recruitment events, information sessions, and career fairs
- Ensure an environment of confidentiality surrounding sensitive, private, financial documents and data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Two years’ experience with financial aid and financial aid programs preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Familiarity with PowerFAIDS and Jenzabar preferred.
- Experience in higher education a plus.

- High level of professionalism, leadership, diplomacy, negotiation and sales skills, and the ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
- The ability to work with and not disclose sensitive and confidential material.
- Professional, courteous demeanor and appearance; and the ability to work professionally with students, faculty, staff, and administration and to represent the University professionally to the public.
