Role Overview
As our HR Coordinator, you will provide essential administrative and technical support to our Human Resources team. Your insight and judgment will help navigate policy, ensure compliance, and facilitate smooth hiring processes while upholding the confidentiality and respect our team members deserve.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post job vacancies across internal and external platforms, screening applicants for eligibility and fit.
- Conduct thorough candidate searches utilizing databases, networking, recruiting resources, referrals, and job fairs.
- Review applications, screen candidates, and schedule interviews, ensuring a streamlined recruitment process.
- Administer pre-employment tests and conduct reference and background checks on finalists.
- Maintain applicant tracking logs and compile weekly reports on recruitment activity.
- Assist employees in understanding benefits programs and manage related enrollment documentation.
- Support data collection for HR information systems and reporting accuracy.
- Reconcile monthly insurance and drug screening billing statements.
- Collaborate with department heads on staff training, orientation programs, and employee recognition initiatives.
- Process new hire paperwork, maintain up-to-date personnel files, and assist with new staff orientations.
- Prepare and proofread HR-related communications, reports, and performance appraisals with attention to detail.
- Oversee mentoring programs and, when needed, provide training on student-related policies such as Sexual Harassment Identification and Prevention.
- Support high-quality supervision and management for student populations with professionalism and respect.
- Communicate clearly and contribute proactively to problem-solving and process improvements within the team.
- Work collaboratively across departments, accepting direction and assistance assignments as required.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate of Arts Degree preferred.
- At least two years of experience in human resources, demonstrating practical knowledge of recruitment and employee services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer literacy.
- Human Resources Certification is a plus but not mandatory.
