What you get to do (Essential Functions):
  • Lead and execute the annual benefit renewal and open enrollment process, including analysis of benefit programs, employee communications, system updates and coordination with vendors.  
  •  Lead, coordinate and execute the annual merit and incentive planning process.  
  • Complete market analysis and recommend salary structure slotting in alignment with the organization’s compensation philosophy.  
  • Plan for, coordinate, and execute the annual salary structure update process, including participation in compensation surveys, assessing geographical differentials and updating the structure within applicable systems.
  • Create and execute strategy for meaningful total rewards communications for candidates and employees.  
  • Provide coaching, guidance and training for managers and employees regarding compensation, benefits and leaves, ensuring a high-level of customer service.  
  •  Coordinate employee leave requests, including the determination of employee eligibility, analysis of returned paperwork, pay processing and the management of employee return to service or separation process.  
  •  Manage and optimize the configuration of total rewards in the HR System, ensuring data integrity and leverage of system capabilities to streamline total rewards administration.
  • Analyze, identify, recommend and implement improvements to total rewards program offerings, driving employee satisfaction and cost efficiency.
  • Build and implement compensation, benefits and leave processes and procedures to ensure standardization, gained efficiencies and adherence with local, state and federal regulations. 
  • Assist in assessing laws regarding compensation, benefits and leaves to evaluate current policies and procedures and propose and implement changes to guarantee adherence.  
  •  Understand, interpret and advise on benefit program information ensuring compliance with plan documents and regulations.
  •  Interface with plan administrators, legal counsel, vendors, and specialists to resolve benefit issues.
  •  Conduct benefit meetings with employees to ensure an understanding of the benefits offered and how to effectively navigate available benefits.
  •  Serve as back-up for various total rewards administration activities.  
What we expect from you: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required, a focus in Business Administration – Human Resources preferred.  
  • At least five years of compensation and/or benefits experience required.  
  • HR-specific certification, such as a SHRM-CP or PHR, highly preferred. 
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes. 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces.  Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.   The ability to effectively communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.  

  

The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,209.00 - $118,110.00 per year. This range represents what The Boldt Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will be  based out of our Appleton, WI office. If the incumbent works out of a different location, the anticipated salary range is subject to change.
