Our CFO is gearing up for retirement, so we’re looking for a Controller/CFO who is itching for a role where they can really make an impact in a fast-growing business — whether you’re ready to step into the Controller role, looking to step into your first CFO seat, or are a seasoned financial professional.
Prime Party is an innovative company specializing in high-quality themed party supplies with exclusive rights to many fan favorites like The Office, Star Trek, Cheers, Golden Girls, Bob Ross and more of what’s missing in the party world like Star Wars, Marvel, Seinfeld, A Christmas Story, and more!? We’re scaling quickly, expanding our universes, and adding new fandoms - so we’re looking for a Controller/CFO who thrives in dynamic environments where no two days are the same.
Requirements
More than just a job: Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll help shape the financial strategy, drive operational continuous improvements, and influence decisions across the organization. You don’t need experience in every area—what matters is your initiative, innovation, and drive to make things happen.
- Oversee all financial operations including payments, expenses, cash flow, and month-end close.
- Maintain accurate financial statements, reporting, analytics, and dashboards. Review, audit, and refine financial reports with a sharp analytic lens.
- As a strategic partner to the CEO, serve as one of the CEO’s primary thought partners—bringing ideas, solutions, and recommendations proactively. Anticipate what the business needs next.
- Advise leadership on budgeting, forecasting, capital needs, operational improvements, and long-term financial strategy.
- Identify opportunities for improving reporting systems and financial scalability.
- Ensure compliance with licensor contracts, royalty payments, and reporting requirements.
- Oversee corporate administration, legal/contract management, and cross-functional policy alignment.
- Manage and mentor one supporting finance role.
- Bonus Superpowers: Experience managing or understanding inventory, sourcing, or supply chain systems. Familiarity with product compliance or overseas factory processes. (Not required—but highly valuable given our growth).

The annual salary range for this position is: $80,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.?
