As a Clinician on the School-Based Behavioral Health Team (SBBHT) at Astor Services, you will play a critical role in delivering mental health services within school settings. Your day will start with preparing for individual and group therapy sessions at the school. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions tailored to each student's needs. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and parents to ensure each student's well-being. Regular documentation and participation in team meetings will also be key components of your daily routine. This position closely follows a school schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
· Conduct assessments to identify students' mental health needs and strengths.
· Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
· Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions within the school setting.
· Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support students' mental health.
· Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and parents to create supportive environments.
· Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
· Participate in regular team meetings and supervision sessions.
· Engage with community resources to support students and families.
· Contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote mental health and well-being.

Requirements
You must have:
· Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
· Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in New York state – LMSW (or Limited Permit), LCSW, or LMHC.
· Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.
· Strong understanding of child development and school-based interventions.
You should have:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and families.
· Outgoing personality with the confidence to handle challenging situations and people.
· Proficiency in clinical documentation and use of an electronic health record.
· Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
