MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Visualization Specialist/Analyst with strengths in Information Systems Security to join our team at Marine Corps Base Sterling, VA. Each day U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) oversees the massive flow of people, capital, and products that enter and depart the United States via air, land, sea, and cyberspace. The volume and complexity of both physical and virtual border crossings require the application of “big data” solutions to promote efficient trade and travel. The selected Data Visualization Analyst will aid in the ongoing development of analytics-based dashboards and reports to address emerging threats as well as complex data analysis across the large volume and data holdings available within CBP. The goal of the organization is to develop and disseminate products internally and to other DHS components, law enforcement and intelligence community agencies to support their specific mission sets. The customer is looking for a candidate with graphic design experience who will need to perform in a mission-driven environment and be capable and comfortable working in an open, bull-pen environment.  Many of the candidate’s work assignments will be communicated orally by leadership, team members, and the candidate will have to manage simultaneous taskings.  Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing professional Intelligence Community and Law Enforcement reporting material and tell a succinct, compelling story through visually appealing charting layouts.  Simultaneously, the candidate will have to help the teams in beginning to market itself and establish a clear and consistent message brand within the U.S. interagency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop and implement interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik) to track key performance indicators and model metricsProficiency in SQL for querying relational databases and performing data extraction and manipulation. Collect, clean, process, and organize large datasets from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, flat files) ensuring data accuracy and integrityAbility to multi-task and simultaneously support both immediate graphics/design requests while progressing on long term projectsPerform exploratory data analysis using statistical techniques to identify significant trends, patterns, correlations, and anomaliesComplete project tasks which include data collection, mining, data and text analytics, clustering analysis, pattern recognition and extraction, automated classification and categorization, and entity resolution to implement and enhance automated risk assessmentInterpret analysis results and communicate findings and insights (e.g., mission impacts, limitations of findings/analytical confidence, analytical methods, and techniques employed) to both technical and non-technical audiences through presentations and written reports.Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, and contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance standards  Minimum Qualifications:Must meet one of the following experience/education requirements: HS Diploma/GED and at least 15 years’ experience; An AS/AA and at least 13 years’ experience; A BS/BA and at least 7 years’ experience; An MS/MA/MBA and at least 5 years’ experience; a PhD/Doctorate and at least 3 years’ experienceExperience Data Visualization analysis, graphic design, or a similar role. References and prior work product examples will be requestedCompetency in standard professional graphic design applications and ability to create/adjust vector graphicsProficiency in a programming language commonly used for data analysis, such as Python or R and related packages for development and analysisKnowledge or experience with data wrangling and cleansing and proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases and performing data extraction and manipulationAbility to convert basic PowerPoint, hand-written, or verbally communicated concepts provided by government customers into professional-grade products that effectively convey the customer’s message Preferred Qualifications:Current front-end UI/UX experienceFamiliarity with cloud data platforms and services (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Databricks)Understanding of data warehousing principles and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processesExperience working within an Agile development environmentHigh level of self-motivation, desire to deliver stellar solutions and willingness to work in a distributed team environment Clearance Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain DHS CBP suitability prior to starting this positionMust possess a current/active Top Secret security clearance Physical Requirements:The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations Candidatar-se agora
