The Director, Global Talent Acquisition Delivery is responsible for leading end-to-end recruitment delivery for AngloGold Ashanti’s global Corporate Functions, spanning the United States and South Africa, and the expansion of the Nevada Projects. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, timely, and efficient hiring outcomes that enable the organization to attract and retain exceptional talent across all roles supporting corporate disciplines from executive level to the early career level, and associated roles in the Mining discipline to support the growth of our emerging projects in Nevada.

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Talent Acquisition, the Director will oversee the Global Talent Acquisition Community of Practice (COP) regional delivery team engagement and manage the hiring operations of the recruitment process outsourcing partner to drive continuous process improvement, and champion technology and automation initiatives to enhance time-to-fill, hiring quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the execution of all recruiting activities for Corporate Functions across the U.S. and South Africa, and the emerging Nevada Projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities, workforce plans, and global talent standards.
  • Partner with regional Talent Acquisition delivery teams through the Community of Practice (TA COP) to achieve global alignment and excellence in service delivery, stakeholder engagement, and candidate experience.
  • Partner closely with senior HR and business leaders to understand workforce needs, anticipate talent gaps, and develop effective sourcing and hiring strategies.
  • Monitor and report on recruitment performance metrics (e.g., time to fill, quality of hire, candidate and hiring manager satisfaction) and drive accountability for results.

Process Optimization & Innovation

  • Identify and implement process enhancements and standardization opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency in global recruitment delivery.
  • Collaborate within the HR Centers of Excellence (HR COEs) to pilot and scale new technologies, tools, and data-driven solutions that optimize recruitment operations and candidate engagement.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline the end-to-end hiring process through automation, digital assessment, and improved recruiter enablement.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, labor laws, and global employment regulations.

Stakeholder & Partnership Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Talent Acquisition Delivery team members, HR Business Partners, and Business leaders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Regional HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams (Australia, LATAM, Africa, U.S., U.K.), HR Systems & Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Management, and Global Mobility to ensure seamless onboarding and workforce integration.
  • Build strong relationships with external recruitment partners and vendors to ensure quality, diversity, and value in hiring outcomes.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field desired.
  • Professional HR or Talent Acquisition certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CIPD, AIRS) is an asset.

Experience & Competencies

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multi-regional or global recruitment teams.
  • Proven success driving process improvement, technology adoption, and data-informed decision making within a global or matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with operational excellence in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Strong knowledge of global recruitment practices, labor markets, and employment legislation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at the executive level.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (SAP/SuccessFactors preferred) and emerging TA technologies (CRM, AI sourcing, analytics).
