Job Description and Duties:

Under the direction of the Director and Associate Director of the School Fiscal Services Division, this position works on sensitive and complex K-12 education fiscal issues determined by the Division Director to be of high priority to local educational agencies (LEAs), the division, and the department. This position must provide advice and guidance to LEA administrators, as well as to department management and staff, other state agencies, and Legislative staff, on emerging and key issues impacting K-12 education funding and school finance. The incumbent in this position is required to maintain a broad understanding of the various fiscal areas and responsibilities of the division.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide guidance and advice to LEA administrators on implementing and administering various new and existing state and federal programs that impact funding for K-12 education to ensure compliance with various laws.
- Identify, resolve, and advise on emerging key education finance, program, and fiscal issues that impact K-12 education funding, including LEA financial and business oversight responsibilities and department operations.
- Perform special projects as assigned, including but not limited to, assisting with coordinating policy analysis and development on issues of high priority to the department and the School Fiscal Services Division.
