Business Inteligence & Analytics Manager

 

Position purpose:

 

The Business Decision Intelligence & Analytics Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting JTI’s global commercial analytics operations, with a dedicated focus on managing and maintaining centralized Global Sales Indexes and ensuring regular, high-quality reporting for senior stakeholders. Covering up to ~80 markets, this business-critical role provides a core foundation for monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing market dynamics, and enabling data-driven decision-making across JTI’s global footprint.

Working closely with cross-functional colleagues and in strong partnership with local market teams, the manager ensures the accurate consolidation of market sales data on a monthly basis. This includes aligning data methodologies, overseeing centralized processes, and safeguarding consistency and comparability of insights across all markets — ensuring the organization speaks one global language through standardized KPIs and definitions.

A key part of the role is leading performance analysis and supporting the delivery of tailored presentations to senior stakeholders at both global and local levels. By translating data into clear, actionable insights, the manager and the broader team help identify trends, inform strategy, and address market-specific challenges.

The role also involves active engagement with local markets to gather input, understand business needs, and ensure that global reporting solutions deliver meaningful, business-relevant outputs. Collaborating with data providers, the manager contributes to high data integrity and continuous improvement of dashboard solutions that promote accessibility and a self-service analytics culture across the organization.

This is a business-critical, high-visibility role within a collaborative global team. It calls for strong analytical skills, attention to detail, a partnership-oriented mindset, and the ability to turn complex data into insights that drive commercial performance across diverse markets.

 

What will you do – responsibilities:

 

Centralized Global Sales Reporting & Index Management:


• Oversee the centralized Global Sales Indexes, ensuring effective consolidation and reporting of market sales data across all countries in scope.
• Continuously optimize data processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting.
• Provide strategic direction for ongoing reporting operations, ensuring alignment with global business priorities and information needs.
• Ensure data availability and accessibility through advanced dashboard systems, supporting a self-service model for teams across the JTI organization.
• Partner closely with local market teams to align on KPIs, definitions, and ensure outputs are actionable, comparable, and business-relevant. 

 

Data Governance & Analytics Products:

• Govern and evolve business definitions, KPIs, data sources, and analytics products.
• Deliver global strategic insights (SI) reports that provide a relevant, insightful, and accurate read of the business.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects to deliver guidance on data measures, analytics, and consumer insights.

 
Descriptive & prescriptive analysis across incidence & tracker reports (consolidation & connecting the dots): 

• Conduct analyses across incidence and tracker reports, consolidating insights to connect the dots between consumer behavior and business outcomes
• Consolidate findings to draw clear connections between consumer behavior, market trends, and business outcomes.
• Translate complex data into storytelling that supports strategic and tactical decision-making across functions and markets.

 

Global Agency Management:

• Lead partnerships with global top-class agencies to ensure excellence in analytics and reporting.
• Evaluate, onboard, and manage agency relationships to maintain the program's quality and scalability.
• Identify new agencies and data providers to enhance the organization’s analytical and strategic capabilities.

 

Cross-functional Projects:

Provide corporate stakeholders with the highest quality support across cross-functional initiatives, providing strategic guidance on the measures and sources that would better meet project needs, ensuring adherence to business governance principles, driving consumer and commercial business knowledge across the organization and providing relevant commercial insihts for the success of the project

 

Who are we looking for – requirements:

 

10+ years experience in Marketing & Sales function in a market, region or HQ 
Strong business understanding with extensive knowledge of the different variables that impact our industry categories and brands development, including macroeconomics, incidence & consumption, consumer dynamics, pricing, volume, inflow/outflow, retail KPIs, taxation...
Extensive knowledge and experience of Tracker program and market dynamic data sources (e.g. Nielsen, IRI...), KPIs calculation, reporting and insights generation. Have experience working with large amount of data, and deep knowledge of data and how it impacts KPIs and consolidation. Knowledge of Consumer KPIs and how they help explain Market Dynamics 
Demonstrated expertise in understanding and addressing business needs through deep understanding of Statistics, external data (Nielsen, IRI, Tracker, BoM, Material Master etc...), database design for business (not from the technical standpoint), and translating business user needs around Market Dynamics data into actionable solutions for the wider stajeholders community
