We have an exciting opportunity for a Painter and Decorator to join our repairs team in this new position. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of interior and exterior spaces within both tenanted and vacant properties. You will be covering the Calderdale area.

Requirements
Outline of Key responsibilities of the Painter and Decorator
- To carry out all types of Painting and Decorating repairs to both tenanted and vacant properties in accordance with project information, DRS appointment slots, specifications and contract drawings.
- To carry out appropriate risk assessments prior to commencement of work.
- To keep records such as required by either paper or electronic equivalent version, as required.
- As part of the bigger team of technicians you will be expected to multi skill and undertake other trade functions in particularly related to prime Painting and Decorating jobs.
- To carry out all work with a high regard to customer care and customer satisfaction, ensuring that work is carried out protecting tenants furniture and belongings as appropriate.
We are looking for someone who has...
- Full UK Manual driving licence
- Relevant certification: City and Guilds in Painting or Decorating or equivalent (NVQ Level 2)
- Proven experience in a customer service setting
- Experience in optimising the number of repairs finished and ensuring multiple repairs are completed in a single visit.
- Experience of treating surfaces/areas related to Damp, Mould and Condensation
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and how it impacts on the way building repairs are carried out
- Basic knowledge of IT/ Mobile phones, e.g. to be able to read and send messages
- Literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to accurately and comprehensively complete job tickets, time sheets and other associated information

- Starting salary of £30,262 per annum

- 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) + bank holidays
- You will work a total of 37 hours per week, scheduled between 08:00 and 20:00 across any five days from Monday to Saturday. The exact schedule will depend on business needs at the time. However, to give an idea, a typical working week may be Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:00 and Friday from 08:00 to 15:30. Please note that this is subject to change based on business requirements.
