About the role
Sunnyfield is seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team in Frenchs Forest, NSW. As a part-time Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate actively in their community. This rewarding role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
What you'll be doing
Providing personalised support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily living activities
Assisting clients with personal care, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and community engagement
Facilitating social, recreational, and educational activities to promote client wellbeing and independence
Collaborating with the wider support team to develop and implement tailored support plans
Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all clients
Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
What we're looking for
A demonstrated passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to advocating for their rights and inclusion
Previous experience in a similar role
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach, with the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each client
A current First Aid certificate and a valid driver's licence
A willingness to undergo a National Police Check and reference checks
