Gliderol Garage Doors is looking for a qualified and motivated Electrical Fitter to join our Melbourne team. This is a hands-on role maintaining and improving our automated manufacturing equipment and supporting our national operations. You’ll work in a modern production environment where your technical skills and initiative make a real impact.

About the role:

You’ll be responsible for electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of our machinery and automation systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding across production equipment
• Support PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
• Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks when needed
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and plant shutdown work
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safe work practices
• Complete accurate maintenance documentation and work orders
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime

YOUR SKILLS

• Unrestricted Electrical License
• 3–5 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens and Allan Bradley systems)
• Knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1, and AS/ANZ 4024 standards
• Sound mechanical aptitude and confidence working with complex systems
• Current CPR and LVR certifications
• Ability to work independently with a strong focus on safety
• EWP, Forklift, or Confined Space tickets are a plus

A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening will be required.
