The Opportunity
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join Stockland’s Civil and Infrastructure Project Management team. This role has arisen due to an internal promotion and will be based in our Sunshine Coast or Brisbane office. You will play a key role in delivering major masterplanned communities, Rivermont and Kinma Valley near Caboolture, helping shape vibrant, connected communities in one of Queensland’s fastest-growing regions.
Working closely with Project Managers and Senior Development Managers, you will gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle from planning through to delivery while contributing to outcomes that meet time, cost and quality benchmarks. Your tasks will include:
- Supporting project planning and delivery across time, cost and quality metrics
- Assisting in managing civil infrastructure and landscape works from inception to completion
- Collaborating with contractors, consultants and approval authorities to ensure smooth delivery
- Monitoring budgets and driving cost efficiencies
- Championing health, safety and environmental excellence on site and in the office
- Contributing to best practice in project management systems and processes
To be successful in this role you:
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Have experience in civil infrastructure or similar project delivery
- Can manage contractors and consultants effectively
- Bring strong commercial and financial acumen
- Understand project management tools, techniques and contract administration
- Are familiar with planning, design and construction in urban development
