Position Overview

The Master Installation Electrician is a critical technical role responsible for managing complex electrical installation projects, ensuring compliance with national and international electrical standards, and maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute advanced electrical installation projects across various industrial and commercial settings
• Conduct comprehensive electrical system design and planning
• Perform detailed technical inspections and compliance assessments
• Ensure adherence to South African electrical regulations (SANS standards)
• Manage installation teams and coordinate project resources
• Develop and implement electrical safety protocols
• Conduct risk assessments and provide technical recommendations.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Advanced Trade Certification
• Government Certified Master Electrician License.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in electrical system design
• Advanced knowledge of:

• Low and high voltage installations
• Industrial electrical systems
• Renewable energy infrastructure

• Competent in AutoCAD and electrical design software
• Understanding of SHEQ.

Certification Requirements

• Valid Electrical Installation License
• Registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
• Up-to-date Occupational Health and Safety certification

Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive electrical installation experience
• Proven track record in complex industrial projects
